The United States government ordered a conservative partial shutdown of governmental work scope to reduce the spread of the virus per Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. Subsequently during this time, URS ' CH2M Oak Ridge LLC (UCOR) reduced the workforce and entered minimum essential and limited operations.

Per the requirements established by the federal government for reopening America via a phased approach, UCOR institutionalized a Standing Order to facilitate verification of employee COVID-19 related self-check questions and employee core body temperatures utilizing checkpoint stations. This planning and work execution effort significantly reduces the probability of allowing COVID-19 carriers to expose the general work population at UCOR.
