Bandsaws and other types of equipment are used in many different locations and environments. Employees are trained regarding safe use and operation of this equipment. Unfortunately, sometimes employees become so familiar with the operation of the equipment as well as the task at hand that they are convinced a quick use of the equipment outside it's intended use will be okay. In these instances, staff must be doubly aware regarding the safe setup and use of the particular equipment.

Staff must never be lulled into using equipment in a manner that is not representative of the manufacturer's suggested methods, nor, outside of the manner set forth by training or work control.
