When subcontractors have an Interface Agreement and can use their own approved Lockout/Tagout procedure the following should occur:
(1) Before the first use of the procedure all documentation should be checked to ensure that the subcontractor has performed the needed training.
(2) A review of the subcontractor's equipment should be performed to ensure they have the proper LO/TO equipment to complete the LO/TO evolution.
(3) All subcontracted employees should understand the importance of and the need for them to utilize stop work authority.
