Short sleep duration, less than 7 hours per day, poor quality sleep, or sleep not aligned with circadian rhythms sleep, are linked to various negative health outcomes: cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression, and to safety issues related to: drowsy driving, injuries, and absenteeism.
