The Kobe Steel data fabrication scandal continues to expand, as the timeframe and number of customers involved have both grown beyond what DOE was initially told in October 2017. Over a period of five decades, Kobe employees falsified reports to make it look as though products met design specifications, when in fact those tests were not conducted. This information/advisory Data Collection Sheet is being issued to all DOE Programs, Sites and Facilities to provide an update on information released by Japan in March 2018, and to provide clarity to the Kobe
Steel situation.
