A worker on an Emergency Communication System upgrade project was threading conduit using a powered pipe/conduit threader. The worker engaged power via the foot pedal while a wrench was placed on the chuck, pinching the tip of his right little finger between the wrench and the support bar, crushing the end of the finger. Improper hand position while operating power pipe/conduit threader caused the hand injury.
