Savannah River Remediation is utilizing a new heat stress technology to make high heat, high work load jobs safer for everyone. A Physiological Monitoring device is worn on the chest to monitor the workers heart rate. If a heart rate exceeds a certain level for a period of time, workers are requested to stop working and cool off. Workers can then resume working when the heart rate has returned to normal levels.
