Each year at PNNL, more staff members are hurt by a slip, trip, or fall while performing work than by any other means. Besides potentially missing time at work or having your work activities restricted, if you are hurt, you may be unable to participate in other activities you enjoy or have vacation plans impacted.

Slips, trips, and falls don't just happen during inclement weather; plenty of incidents are reported in the warmer months. That's why it's so important to be mindful of your surroundings and to make the choices that will keep you out of harm's way.

In this six-minute video, you'll hear from three staff members who were hurt in a slip, trip, or fall incident at PNNL, why situational awareness is so important in preventing these types of accidents, and how to improve your mindfulness.
