Avoid handling the motor blower unit in a manner that involves rotation of the breathing hose-to-motor blower connection.

The breathing tube on a 3M T-600 PAPR can be inadvertently disconnected from the motor blower when the motor blower assembly is doffed and handled during decontamination procedures. A breathing tube came loose from its connection to the motor blower assembly when the user doffed the belt/motor blower assembly to facilitate cleaning of the unit prior to exiting a radiologically-contaminated area. The connection had been taped as an extra measure.
