The Washington Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation program has published a new Fatality Narrative. The new narrative summarizes an incident where a laborer was crushed when he was helping to demolish a steel support structure. These reports summarize work-related incidents, list some requirements and recommendations that might have prevented the incident from occurring, and give a brief statistical summary. These narratives provide preliminary information about the incident to the interested community, similar to OSHAs Fatal Facts and MSHAs Fatalgrams.
