The 618-10 Burial Ground is in the process of hazardous waste remediation. Between April and July 2015, radiological contamination was found outside of the posted boundaries at 618-10 Burial Ground on several occasions. After each contamination incident incremental corrections were made. Following recurring events, a root cause analysis was performed identifying broader controls were necessary.

Lessons Learned: Comprehensive contamination controls within the trenches is necessary in controlling exposed materials at the source of active excavation and drum processing areas.
