A custodial employee inadvertently removed low level radioactive waste from two radiologically-controlled and posted laboratories as if it was regular trash and placed it in a normal trash collection dumpster outside of the building. The material was discovered and recovered before the dumpster was picked up by the trash removal company and there was no evidence of any radioactive contamination outside of the laboratories or on the employee.
