An electrician received a contusion on the left side of his head when a knot on a rope used to move a thermocouple tree came loose, allowing the tree to fall and contact the left side of the electrician’s hard hat. Construction workers were taking thermocouple trees (approximately 22 feet in length and weighing approximately 200 lbs) from a horizontal to a vertical position using a rope and pulley.
