While electricians were performing preventative maintenance on River Siren S8 in the 100 area of Hanford, the Silo’s lifting mechanism failed, causing the elevated silo equipment to fall rapidly back into the silo. The electrician closest to the silo fell back, sustaining scrapes and contusions to portions of the hip, legs, and back.
