A Brookhaven National Laboratory worker was felling a pine tree while elevated in a 60-foot articulating and telescoping boom lift. As the worker was cutting through the tree trunk, a section of tree trunk fell toward the aerial lift, striking the workers arm. The tree was being removed because of a safety concern submitted by an employee.
